Bye Bye Asia

Hi all, this will be our last post from Asia.

It is a big day for all of us. We didn't know how it would work out before arriving in this area of the world but wow has we seen some beautiful sights and had both great and difficult experiences. The kids have been super.
On our last days in Bangkok, we stayed at this Turkish themed hotel. We decided to stay in the embassy/shopping districts and stay away from the old quarter where we have already stayed and visited. We went for a lovely walk in the largest park in Bangkok... warning! Do Not Fall Asleep or leave small children by the rivers!
Monitor Lizards of Amazing Size - they are everywhere in this park and by the way, they are carnivores.
We are leaving South East Asia - Bangkok Airport.

Once in Hong Kong, we have revisiting old haunts and seeing new ones. It is crazy busy here. Paul went for a walk at 11:30 pm and he said it was as busy as 5 pm. Crazy. Our hotel is very central and easy to get around. The kids are camping out and loving it. We are off to NZ tonight - wish us luck. love s

Mira watching birds at the zoo.
Kate talking on her cell phone (metro pass).

Getting prettied up hurts eh Kate?
Light show at the Hong Kong Harbour

Disney Hong Kong Advertising is everywhere...

Kate Ate Sushi - we ate a really fun sushi spot where the meals come out on conveyor belts and you pick your dishes. Great fun and Kate ate!

nice to see that Kate has gotten into the spirit of the occasion...washing down her sushi with a Heineken.

  4. Good to see & hear that the trip is going well! I will be very interested in your postings about N. Zealand. I would love to go there. Scary, somewhat, the photo of the monitor. Hoping you have a safe and routine flight to N. Zealand! No snow in Ontario... as yet! Hopefully soon we'll have the white stuff!

    Cheers!
