Hi all,
We are settling in? We have rented a room in a large farm house outside of Cambridge. The property is amazing - plum, orange, grapefruit, and an avocado tree. The yukon kids are very excited about running outside and picking fruit and eating it straight from the tree. The orange juice is amazing. We are able to use the kitchen and gardens. We are about 3 km from town so our next plan to get a car.
The weather is wonderful now. It is sunny and green, green, green. I think that Ireland would be jealous of how green this place is. The flowers are out everywhere. We are very close to where the Hobbit part of the Lord of the Rings was filmed.
Paul has been doing all the driving so far. I will have to jump into it soon enough. I have to say I am very nervous about the whole thing... gasp, gasp.
Mira has lost her 4th tooth on this voyage - she will need dentures soon.
Wow! Are those roses with the girls? They are fantastic! Great to hear that you are settling in - sorry to hear that you have to start cooking again ... back to the drudgery of domestic life!!! Seen any wildlife yet?? love Janet
